Lord of the harvest,
You invited disciples by saying
"Follow me".
You sent them out to preach your Good News
and minister for you.
Call and encourage many to follow you
as priests deacons, sisters and brothers.
Give renewed strength to all who do your work
and serve you by spreading your word
and sacraments to make you known and loved.
With the guidance of your Holy Spirit
may your Church be ever open
to finding new ways to do your work
in uncertain times
and to effectively respond to the needs of all
your people of the present age.
