CALENDAR OF 2010 MEETING DATES AND ACTIVITIES
September 27th Mystery Bus Tour. Meet at St. Anthony's 8.45am. Cost $40.
October 25th Tour of Sacred Garden at The Monastery, 15 Cross Road, Glen Osmond. Meet at The Monastery at 10.15am. Shared Transport. The visit will be guided by Stan O'Loughlin (an Edwardstown parishioner). Following the tour there is light lunch at The Monastery - $13-20 per person.
November 22nd Pre-Christmas Celebration. Venue to be decided.

On Monday 23rd August, the Seniors Social Group were given an address by Zac Alstin of the Southern Cross Bio-ethics Institute.The address covering an introduction to the complex issues of bio-ethics was very well received by the group. Pictured below is Zac addressing the group and afterwards a vote of thanks and an appreciation token presented by Doug Burt.
The Seniors Social Group is a purely social group for older and not so old parishioners as a social outlet and provides fellowship and camaraderie. Meetings are held in the parish hall on the fourth Mondays of the month where there are on occasions guest speakers or some form of entertainment. Activities and outings vary. Such functions are bus trips, barbecues, dining out etc.
Numbers of people attending varies between 25-45. The End of Year Christmas Lunch attracts up to 60 parishioners.
History of the Group: The inaugural meeting of the group was in June 1995 following a proposal by Denise McNamara to the Parish Council. Pat McAssey was elected as Coordinator and served in that role for 5 years. Brian Hennessy became Secretary/Treasurer
