Edwardstown Conference

President: Kevin McGeever
Secretary: Jack Wirth
Treasurer: Peter Freeborn

The Edwardstown conference expresses their appreciation to all who donated to last year's Christmas Appeal. $2,620 was raised for the needy within our Parish enabling our members to undertake the financial help required to provide the poor and disadvantaged with food, clothing, assistance with utility accounts and other resources. Thank you again Edwardstown for your continued support of the St Vincent de Paul Society.

ASSIST A STUDENT

An education scholarship program aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty. Donations from Australians are used to provide education scholarships for students across partner countries in Asia and the Pacific. For each $70 donation the supporter will receive a certificate with the student name, country and course of study. Annually a complimentary copy of the record with an Assist a student insert.

UNWANTED FURNITURE

Many families are facing hardship, and we are currently experiencing a shortage of wardrobes, chest of drawers, dining tables and chairs. All suitable donations are greatly received

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO NEEDS A VISIT?

If you are aware of a Parishioner/s who would appreciate a short home visit, please leave the details at the Parish Office. A member of The Edwardstown/Plympton Vinnies Conference will make contact to organise a suitable time to visit,

DRY & CANNED GOODS COLLECTION

Parishioners attending Mass will notice a basket designed to receive dry and canned goods for distribution to those in need within the Parish. You are invited on a regular or adhoc basis to deposit goods in the basket and these will be made into food hampers to assist the less fortunate.  Please be aware that items where the use by date has passed are required to be thrown away. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

BREAD PRODUCTS AFTER  MASS

If you are able to make a donation for any products you take, your donation assists the work of the Vinnies in our Parish. The Edwardstown/Plympton Conference is most grateful to Francis, Vilma Faustorilla and family and Bakers Delight for their wonderful support
